Since 1950, the Housing Authority of Danville has been dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable housing opportunities for residents of Danville and Boyle County, Kentucky. As a federally assisted agency regulated by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), we serve our community through the Public Housing Program, ensuring safe and stable housing for very low- to low-income individuals, families, seniors, and persons with disabilities.

Governed by a five-member Board of Commissioners — including the Mayor and a Resident Commissioner — the Housing Authority of Danville owns and manages 394 public housing units across eleven neighborhoods. Housing assistance is income-based, ensuring accessibility to those in need.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Housing Authority of Danville is to cost effectively assist eligible very low- and low-income families by providing opportunities for affordable housing and socioeconomic advancement in a discrimination-free environment; and to affirmatively address the physical needs of the Authority’s housing developments to ensure a decent, safe, and sanitary environment for employees and residents.
